Riding a scooter

People who can ride a bicycle well most probably would be able to ride a scooter as well. According to our experience after a few minutes of flat rides, you can get your confidence riding a scooter safely. Each tour starts with a technical briefing explaining to you the handling of the scooter and gives you safety instructions. If required we can also give you short practicing before we start the tour.

Participation

Participants must be at least 18 years old (or accompanied by a parent), must hold a valid driver’s license and must be able to drive a scooter safely. Participation on the tours is at your own risk

Driver’s licenses and scooters

50 cc single-seat scooter: Car license (B) or moped license (AM) or international equivalent is required. According to Hungarian law, it is prohibited tor ride with a passenger on 50 cc scooters.
125 cc double seat scooter: motorcycle license ( EU A1 category or above ) or international equivalent is required. You can also drive it with a passenger.

Riding with a passenger on 125 cc scooter

If you are in possession of a motorcycle license you can book the tour riding with a passenger in double on 125 cc scooter (subject to availability). In case the tour guide can also take one passenger on his scooter

Insurance

The scooters are provided only with 3-rd party liability insurance that covers only the damages to a 3-rd party caused at your fault. It does not cover the damages of your scooter or medical expenses in case of an accident. In case you make the damage to the scooter at your fault you must cover it. We advise you to make travel insurance that covers your medical expenses in case of an accident.

Tour difficulty levels

We classify the tours in 3 difficulty levels to give you an idea of what level of the driving skill is required to complete the full tour program safely at the given time.

Easy

short distance tours with less traffic, lower speed (25-30 km/h) and less difficult route (eg: when a tour starts with a long flat ride you can more easily improve your confidence till you get to the hills)

Medium

short distance tours with more traffic, higher speed (30-40 km/h) and more difficult route (eg: when the tour starts with a long drive on the hills)

Advanced

long-distance tours with medium/ top speed (40-50 km/h), driving on busy roads in and outside the city or driving after dark.

Public Tour

Public tours are shared tours. Also, other participants can book the same tour and you will tour together with them.

Private tour

Private tours are exclusively for you. When you book a private tour there are no other participants that tour is only for you. It gives you also an extra comfort touring at your own desired pace and if you have a particular request you can discuss it with the tour guide who will do his best to customize the tour itinerary for you.

Tour duration

Tour duration is the approximate duration of the tour including the time for check-in, technical briefing and practicing.

Tour itinerary

We do our best to provide you the itinerary as published in the tour program, however, we reserve the right to change the tour itinerary in case of road closures and unforeseen circumstances.

Tour guide & Language

All tours are provided with an English speaking tour guide.

What’s included in the tour price

English speaking tour guide, a scooter with a safety helmet, 3-rd party liability insurance gas, intercom radio with a headset. Meals and entrance fees are generally not included in the tour price unless specifically indicated as included

Add-ons

We may provide you extra services which you can book along with the tour on the top of the basic tour price.

Reservations

All tours require advance reservations. You can reserve online up to 24 hours before the tour starts. For reservations within 24 hours please call our mobile +36 309845100

Payments

In our office, we accept payments in cash in Euro (EUR) or Hungarian Forints (HUF). We also accept major credit cards. Online booking can be paid only with Paypal. Paypal lets you use your credit card for payments.

Cancellations

We provide a full refund for cancellations up to 48 hours before the tour. No refund for cancellations within 48 hours

Check-in

You must show up at the meeting point 15 minutes prior to the tour start for check-in and must present your driver’s license.
